Identifying Your Water System


There are 3 common hot water systems in the UK: Gravity Fed, Combi Boiler or High Pressure Unvented systems. Use the chart opposite to identify the system you have and which type of shower you can choose from*.


Do you have a hot water cylinder in your airing cupboard?


NO


Do you have a boiler unit that ignites when you open a hot tap, but with no hot water cylinder?


YES


Do you have a large cold water storage tank somewhere in your loft?


YES


*If you are not sure as to which shower you need or are in any doubt as to the system you have, please obtain advice from a suitably qualified person before making a purchase or arranging installation.


You have a low pressure gravity fed system. Choose a low pressure mixer shower or an electric shower.


If you have two or more showers in your property, why not choose an electric shower. Why? If your boiler or hot water system fails at least you will have an alternative washing facility.
