INTERCONNECT Sealed connectors from Molex
FOR USE ON FACTORY FLOORS, IN HEAVY-DUTY EQUIPMENT, AUTOMOTIVE AND NON-AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION - ANYTHING FROM DATA ACQUISITION TO HIGH CURRENT POWER APPLICATIONS
Molex’s extensive sealed connector product offering, provides ideal interconnect solutions for harsh environments. Our sealed connectors can be found on factory floors, in heavy-duty equipment like tractors, trucks and buses, and also in non-automotive transportation applications like boats, buses and ATV’s.
With such a wide variety of sealed connectors, Molex can provide a sealed solution for anything from data acquisition to high current power applications.
XRC™ sealed, plastic-circular connectors are IP67-rated and meet the demanding requirements of the transportation industry; new low- insertion-force stamped terminals provide an economical drop-in replacement that is interchangeable with competitor’s connector housings.
Molex’s XRC™ economical and rugged 14- and 31-circuit (18 and 24 shell size), circular connectors are ideal for heavy-duty applications such as trucks, buses and
agricultural markets. The connectors can be used for in-line or panel- mount applications. Low-insertion-force stamped terminals provide a drop-in replacement with the competition’s offering. Designed to meet IP67 standards, XRC plugs and receptacles protect against the ingress of dust, water and other contaminants to maintain the integrity of the mated pair. Plugs feature a quick-disconnect bayonet latch to provide quick and easy connections with reduced installation and service time while ensuring accurate mating depth.
src (sealed rectangular connector) Is the hIgh relIabIlIty and hIgh PerforMance connector whIch saves on aPPlIed cost The SRC connector system was developed to meet the need for a rugged, environmentally sealed connector system, supporting both low-level signals as well as current up to 40.0 amperes. The first connector in the standard line offered is the 84-way connector. The product uses proven and very successful Molex MX150™
terminals. Together with the higher connector pin count and terminal retention forces (connector system retention greater than 200N), the performance of the SRC connector surpasses other products on the market.
The Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) design assures that crimped terminal leads are properly locked into the connector (TPA will not be achieved if cover TPA will not seat into final lock position and the connector system will not latch if the terminal is not locked properly into position).
A matte-seal cap protects, securely retains and provides strain relief to the wire-seal interface. A single-handed lever lock secures the connection between the connectors.
Designed initially for the non-automotive transportation market, Molex’s SRC connector may be applied easily to other markets due to

The connector’s sealed surface
ensures optimum performance even in harsh environments. The IP20 data version is the smallest and only RJ-45 Ethernet connector in the world to which 22 AWG cables can be connected with IDC technology. The connector is designed with a standard grid of just 14.00mm (.551”), which guarantees maximum packing density in the application.
The IP67 data push-pull version with innovative housing-locking
technology can be locked and unlocked using one hand and only minimal force. In spite of its high degree of protection, the compact housing is ideally suited for compact industrial applications.
The RJ Industrial Hybrid connector was developed as an interface solution to integrate data lines and the power supply into one connector for hybrid Ethernet networks. This brings a significant reduction in the installation costs of field devices suitable for industrial applications with hybrid cabling.

Molex’s sealed, industrial Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectors are ideal for industrial and harsh commercial applications, where a secure and robust connection is required. The rugged, plug and receptacle designs feature bayonet- style latches, encapsulated PCB receptacles and overmolded cable assemblies to help
keep out dust, debris and water.
Many industrial devices and networks use a direct interface to a PC for programming, monitoring, data collection and diagnostics of the industrial bus. USB connectors are ideal for both short-term diagnostics that require simple and fast setup, and permanent installations for data acquisition systems. Once software has been installed, USB plugs and receptacles can be quickly connected and disconnected from various devices without having to turn off computers or equipment. High performance results and ease-of-use make industrial USB from Molex a valuable solution for a variety of harsh environment applications.
