The IT World Focuses on Frankfurt

SNW Europe, Datacenter Technologies and Virtualization World come together for the third consecutive year at Congress Frankfurt on the 2nd and 3rd November 2011 under the theme of ‘Powering the Cloud’. The events bring together a broad spread of IT professionals from across Europe, the Middle East/ Africa, the Far-East and North America along with top information technology executives, leading product and service providers and key industry influencers for one of Europe’s largest independent conference focused on managing information infrastructure.

The 2011 program, produced by Angel Business Communications in collaboration with SNIA Europe will feature over 120 educational sessions and presentations by top IT management experts covering today’s hottest IT topics, from cloud computing to energy efficient data centers to virtualization to storage, and much more. Conference attendees have a one of a kind opportunity to participate in sessions, tutorials, and training labs, visit with top solution providers in the large expo area devoted to IT infrastructure and storage- related technologies and capitalize on countless networking opportunities.

The “Powering the Cloud” theme for 2011 reflects the current trend in the industry where the new wave of IT architecture, Cloud Computing, a natural evolution of the widespread adoption of virtualization, service-oriented architectures and utility computing, is impacting almost every size and type of organisation. Together the three conferences focus on the key

elements of the IT environment that are a vital part of any ‘cloud’ strategy including data storage, data management, data protection and security for the cloud, desktop, server, storage and network virtualization, alongside converged data centre networks and complementary architectures and technologies.

What’s new in 2011? Many of you reading this will be SNW Europe veterans with the event having first established its Frankfurt base in September 2004. For the organisers the last eight years have seen the emergence of virtualization and more recently ‘cloud computing’ and architectures.

The move in 2009 to introduce the co-located conferences addressing virtualization and datacenter technologies has allowed the core SNW audience to expand and adapt with these changes and at the same time the events to continue to grow and flourish where others have slipped and stumbled.
