SCVNGR tour rescheduled
The CCC High Tech & Science Committee (HT&S) invites you to take part in an upcoming C3 Tour of another Cool Cambridge Company (C3), on Thursday, September 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please note that this event was originally scheduled for June.
One of the nation’s and Cambridge’s hottest and hippest companies is SCVNGR. SCVNGR is a game layer on top of the world, it’s a game platform, and it’s an ever-changing game. SCVNGR is a massive experiment that has thousands of individuals and institutions interacting to enhance their experience through fun, quick challenges as you go about your daily life. You can discover cool new places and do exciting new things as you play.
SCVNGR has recently launched another initiative locally called LevelUp. LevelUp works with merchants to create the best deals in your city and ups your game to include three levels of deals on a daily basis—good, better and best. The more you play, the more you save and can take advantage of great opportunities.
Learn all about SCVNGR and LevelUp from senior members of their team, have an opportunity to the play the game and tour their incredible offices. Light refreshments will be served. The SCVNGR offices are located at 175 Second Street.

Missed the boat last year? Register early because like last year, this event will surely sell out as the boat does have a maximum capacity. Enjoy a beautiful summer evening and amazing views aboard one of the select boats that cruise our waterway. Not keen on leaving the dock? That’s okay, the boat will stay dockside for an hour so we can offer a cocktail reception prior to the boat cruise. If you decide to join us for the cruise, the food and drinks will still be flowing. $25 for members and $50 for non-members with registration & ­payment by August 29. You must pre-register for this event. Walk-ins will not be admitted.
