SaintsAlive! is Siena CollegeAthletics’ annual giving program. The SaintsAlive!mission is to provide the best possible environment for our student athletes to succeed, whilemaintaining the high standard of athletic and academic excellence associatedwith Siena College.


Since its foundation in 1995, Saints Alive! has grown over 700%with a record $478,554 in donations received during the 2010-11 iscal year. The largest fundraiser of the year was the SaintsAlive! Shootoutwhich raised nearly $30,000 in late June.


Themen’s basketball PremiumSeating Programis a corner- stone of Saints Alive! Individuals are able tomake a contribution to Saints Alive!when they purchase season tickets tomen’s basketball games that are located in PSP sections in the Times Union Center.

During the2010-11season, thePSPraised$224,772for SaintsAlive! – an increase of over $60,000 from the previous year. The program was revampedprior to last year, enhancing andincreasing courtside seating optionswhile adding newpremiumloge seats in the irst rowsof thesecondlevel.Newtabletopseatingareasweredeveloped off the baseline adjacent to the visiting teambench with special valet parking privileges, courtside dining services and other exclusive beneitswere also introduced to PSPmembers.


Endowments are anotherwayinwhichpeople activelysupported Siena athletics this past year. Alongwith a general endowment, two special endowment funds have been established in the last fewyears – theHowardT.Tucker ’41EndowmentFundandthe Men’s Lacrosse Alumni Fund.


TheHoward T. Tucker ’41 Endowment Fundwas created to carry out the legacy of one of Siena athletics’ true pioneers and the irst person inducted into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame, while at the same time providing a great way to support the athletic department’s continued progress. The funds generated from the Tucker endowment go


directly to the department’s general operating budget to beneit all sports at Siena. 10


TheMen’s LacrosseAlumni Fundwas established inDecember of2008 andwasdesigned to help themen’s lacrosse programcontinue its ascent by generating additional funding thatwill go toward operating costs.


To date, $206,000 has been pledged to the men’s lacrosse fund, whiol $27,500 has been for the Howard T. Tucker Fund.


Siena’s corporate partnership program also raised record funds this past year. Highlights included the naming of Trustco Bank as the newtitle sponsor ofmen’s basketball, and the opening of the Time Warner Cable Sports Lounge at the Times Union Center.

Sienawas one of a handful of schools in the nation to stream live sporting events tomobile devices in 2010-11 as part of its robustmultimediaplatformSienaAllAccess.FromiPhones to desktop computers, Saints fanswere able to followalongwith their favorite teamswherever they happened to be.


Over 1,000 people purchased at least one event at SienaAllAccess.com, with gross revenue topping $14,000. Through the revamped platform, fans had immediate access to all live home events for volleyball, men’s soccer, men’s and


women’s basketball, men’s lacrosse and baseball, audio and video archives, basketball coaches’ shows andmedia luncheons.


Additionally, new creative con- tentwas created on a consistent basis, bringing Siena fans closer to their favorite programs. Siena Saints Weekly aired throughout the academic year and special video series like “Golf Tips” and “Fresh Faces” were also created to air on SienaAllAccess and across the department’s digital platforms.


Through SienaAthletics’YouTube site, thousands of fans viewed exclusive content on the Saints’ 18 athletic pro-


grams. Additionally, 129 videoswere contributed to theMAAC Video Blog fromthe start of 2011, and by the conclusion of the academic year, 45%of all videos uploaded to the MAAC’s site by the conference’s 10 schoolswere fromSiena.


TimeWarner Partnership Brings Siena Basketball Across NewYork State


TimeWarner Cable and Siena College enhanced their long-standing programming andmarket- ingpartnership dramatically this past season,with the crown jewel of the package including the telecast of 10men’s basketball home games.


For the irst time, coverage of SienaBasketballwasmade available to TimeWarner subscribers throughout NewYork State.
