Magic Springs ready for 2011!
Premier Service, a division of Premier Rides, recently helped an Arkansas amusement park as it made its preparations for the 2011 season.
The technicians, who each have an average of more than 20 years’ experience in ride maintenance, augmented the efforts of the dedicated in-house team at Magic Springs & Crystal Falls in Hot Springs as it refurbished all of its 24 rides and attractions. The park’s new general manager Steve Honeycutt, who has more than 30 years’ of park experience, notes, “When Amusement Management Partners (AMP) took over management of the park in February, we established an ambitious programme to get it prepared for 2011. We appreciate Premier stepping up to be part of the effort.”
SkyCycle
From Eco-Adventure Technologies, SkyCycle will give Florida’s EcoSafaris Park a brand new way to look at nature. The attraction is a pedal-powered seat suspended beneath a cable that takes riders high over the treetops and gives them an intimate glimpse of the natural terrain.
Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida will be opening the new Cypress SkyCycle attraction this summer, travelling one mile through pine flatwoods, wetlands and sloughs giving guests a rare glimpse at this secluded nature reserve and its inhabitants. Guests will up to 22ft above the ground and even over an alligator pond!
On the farm at Hunderfossen
The Norwegian family park Hunderfossen, near Lillehammer, is investing over NOK 10 million ($1.9m/€1.3m) this season in a new farm area called Bondegården, including a highly themed tractor ride by Metallbau-Emmeln. During the six-minute ride, passengers will enjoy three-outdoor scenes, three indoor projections, plus animatronics by Hoffman. The attraction uses seven John Deere styled tractors and features 230-metres of track. The 2011 season started at Hunderfossen on May 28.

New rides in Neusiedlersee
Familypark Neusiedlersee, formerly Märchenpark Neusiedlersee, has opened two new rides for 2011. Apfelflug (Apple Flight) is a themed Wave Swinger by Zierer while the Old Timers convoy ride was supplied by Zamperla.
Good weather encouraged large numbers of visitors to visit the park at the start of the season and, after a bit of the blip, the sun has returned again. “We're optimistic that it's going to be a successful season,” adds the park’s Birgit Payer. Familypark Neusiedlersee is located in beautiful surroundings close to Lake Neusiedlersee in the wine region of Burgenland.
