Student News Bennett Conference Showcases Student Research T

wenty-eight MechE graduate students presented their research to fellow students, faculty, alumni, and a panel of judges at the Department of Mechanical Engineering’s annual Bennett Conference on April 16. Held in Scaife Hall, the Conference included 14 oral presentations and 14

poster presentations covering diverse topics across nanotechnology, environmen- tal engineering, bioengineering, robotics, fluids, and other areas. While participation in the Bennett Conference is required for M.S. Project

Option students, all MechE graduate students are eligible to showcase their research work and contributions to the field. Following the morning presentations and catered lunch, the judges determined

the overall best presentations and best posters. In the “Best Presentation” category, Jinmo Lee won first place, while YongTae

(Tony) Kim was awarded second place. For “Best Poster,” Chandrajit Thaokar received first place, while Nick Seifert won second place. The following list includes all students who participated in the 2010 Bennett
