Fridays: Friday home games feature throw-back uniforms from different decades, plus a post-game big-bang fireworks extravaganza.

Thursdays, July 7 - September 1: Sizzling Summer Nights. An outdoor family dance party features top Latin bands in a fun, casual, setting with a separate kids’ dance floor and free dance lessons during inter- mission. Visit their website for line-up of bands. 6:30-9 p.m. $7, includes museum admission.


Aquarium of the Pacific 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach (562) 590-3100. www.aquariumofpacific.org Fridays: Free Shark Lagoon Nights. The public is invited to get up close with the ocean’s ultimate predators for free. Touch more than 150 sharks and see large sharks such as the sandtiger. Friday, 6-9 p.m. Guests can also shop, purchase drinks and snacks, and enjoy live music. Free. Check their website for a list of dates.


Sundays: Summer Sundays Late Nights. Enjoy the aquarium after hours while taking advantage of special savings. Admission is just $12.95 per per- son after 5 p.m., and the aquarium will remain open until 9 p.m. In addition, the aquarium’s short films will be shown in the Honda Theater. What is Impressionism? When (and where) did the Renaissance occur? Did you know that DaVinci only painted about 30 pictures? That Donatello is not a Ninja Turtle in real life? That the Dutch Masters painted pictures in such in- credible detail they looked like photographs? Welcome to Art Escape, the Children’s Museum at La Habra’s Summer 2011 changing gallery exhibit. Learn incredible information about art, interesting facts about artists, cool and unusual art techniques, and ancient-to-new art history, and maybe create some fantastic art for yourself in the “Hands-On-Art” area.


Tuesdays: Join “Outdoorsie Rosie” for a nature- inspired activity outside. These 20-minute activities will have little ones experiencing the beauty of the earth using all five senses and creating art to tote home. 10:30 a.m.


Wednesdays: Little Picassos. Join the museum for a “paint date” in the Family Art Center for lots of cre- ative play for the right side of the brain. There are easels, washable paints, brushes and paint smocks for little artists to use. 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.


Fridays: At Hip Hop Hooray, preschoolers explore movement as they hip hop, skip, move and put their body in motion. Each child will learn dance rhythms,
