RECOGNITION T
HE VACATION STATION has been recognized by Royal Caribbean Interna- tional for its excellent work
in 2010, citing the company’s travel agent
BY MARGARET ANN MICHELS team for
meeting its booking goals for the year. Te team at Te Vacation Station earned a plaque from Royal Carrib- bean, which cruises to more than 280 destinations in 81 countries worldwide. Acknowledgement from a major cruise line is a nice accomplish- ment for the Vacation Station team, but what they really enjoy is the recognition they receive from happy members.
“Te highest level of customer ser- vice is our number one goal. It makes me happy to make my clients happy,” said travel agent Connie Maher. Of course, Royal Caribbean is just one of many cruise lines that Vaca- tion Station offers. Te travel agents are knowledgeable about all the major lines and each of their ships, embar- kation ports, itineraries, ports-of-call
and excursions. Tey can book mem- bers on the huge variety of cruises of- fered by any cruise company, includ- ing Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Viking River Cruises, Crystal Cruises and Seabourn. Tere has been a lot of interest in booking Carnival Cruises since it became the first line to offer cruises leaving from South Carolina. Te 2,056-passenger Carnival Fantasy began departing from Charleston Harbor in May 2010. Vacation Station members from all over the country have become intrigued by the opportunity to visit Charleston as their embarkation port. Te travel agents at Vacation
Station are travelers themselves, so they understand that vacations are precious. Tey are eager to make sure members enjoy the entire cruise experience, before, during and after, not only by helping choose the right cruise but also by booking hotels, car rentals and attractions. Just as Royal Caribbean is only one of the many cruise lines that
ROYAL
Vacation Station books for its members, cruises are only one of the many travel offerings avail- able. Vacation Station also provides members with vacation tour pack- ages and with the option to create their own travel itinerary. A travel agent can book with all of the tour companies and packaged tour pro- viders, as well as with major chains and individual vendors. Members simply provide their
travel agent with the requirements for their dream vacation, and the agent will research all of the avail- able options. Whether it’s a three- night package tour of San Francisco or an individually customized two- week trip to South Africa, the Vaca- tion Station travel agent team will do whatever is necessary to make sure their members’ trips perfectly match the ones they’ve been dream- ing about.
