MACUL Honors 2011 MACUL Award Recipients


MACUL offers several awards to honor members who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the use of technology to improve education. Each award winner receives a gift, complimentary registration and hotel accommodations to the MACUL Conference along with a one-year renewal membership. The winners of the Outstanding Technology Using Teacher and Educator awards will represent MACUL in the 2011 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) competition.

Excellence Award is Judy Hornberger, Fitzgerald Public Schools, Sterling Heights. This award is given


by MACUL and REMC Association of Michigan to the Michigan educator who espouses the values of a global 21st Century Educator, integrating the international technology standards at the classroom level as modeled through implementing 21Things for Educators in the classroom. This award represents an exemplary educator who integrates the principles of “Free is Good”, and the importance of finding a variety of resources to reach all learning styles in a challenging educational environment.
