The average investment size is up significantly in most territories, the most notable shift being in the US, up c. 70% to $23m. Europe also grew significantly, up 55% to $12m.
Clearly the figures are slightly skewed by the enormous funding rounds closed by Facebook and Groupon, but despite this effect is it is clear that there is an underlying trend towards investment dollars being steered more towards later stage companies.
Today, Silicon Valley feels busier than ever. As companies grow in size and confidence, so too does their need to hire great leaders to take them forward. Both our Palo Alto and San Francisco offices are seeing an unprecedented demand for our services.
