Welcome to the offi cial preview magazine of Safety & Health Expo 2011.
Hosted in partnership with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) and the
Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Safety & Health Expo this year offers you the most comprehensive visitor programme to date with more educational seminars and interactive features than ever before alongside more than 300 exhibitors launching and demonstrating the latest products, services and technologies in the market.
New to Safety & Health Expo this year is the Occupational Health Theatre sponsored by Posturite and Colebrook Bosson Saunders, focusing on health in the work place and assessing topics such as stress management, ergonomics, equality and diversity.
The SHP Legal Arena, sponsored by The HSE Recruitment Network, returns to offer you analysis and advice on some of the key legal developments of the year, covering a range of the biggest cases in health and safety and related sectors. Updates on recent industry developments can also be found at the IOSH stand and mini lecture theatre where there will be an increased number of sessions covering a multitude of safety issues.
At the Product and Innovation Hub, sponsored by Arco, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with cutting edge products and technologies during presentations from a variety of industry experts. These include talks on PPE, slip trip and fall prevention, and lone worker protection, making it a must see for visitors sourcing information on the newest products around.
Returning after a successful launch last year is the AIF Knowledge Base, focusing on a range of issues associated with working at height. In particular, I’d like to urge you to visit one of the sessions given by Jason Acker who was injured in an accident at work. Jason will provide a poignant reminder of the importance of safety procedures when working at height.
