ABE news

MALcOLM siMPsOn

It is with deep regret that we report the death of one of ABE’s Council members, Malcolm Simpson. Malcolm had a long and

distinguished career in higher education. For many years he was at South West London College, progressing to Assistant Principal. When Malcolm left public sector education he became Principal at the London School of Management. An outstanding lecturer, he

enriched the lives of large numbers of students, many of whom were from outside the UK. His interpersonal skills were particularly good and he was both well liked and respected. Malcolm was also a very good linguist and spoke French, German, Spanish and Japanese. Malcolm served on ABE’s Council

for a number of years; his views and comments were always listened to for their depth and interest. He will be sorely missed. He leaves a wife and a son, and our thoughts are with them at this very sad time.
