The news from Japan resonates very strongly here in the Bay Area, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families. As we see per- sonal and public resources pushed to the breaking point, we know we must organize and plan to face just such a disaster. In the coming months, our Fleet Week 2011 planning will focus on building a successful Humanitarian Assis- tance & Disaster Response (HADR) for our region. Here at your Club, there will be opportunities to support this effort, starting with The Best of the Best on 2 May. Many other informative and entertaining events are on the calendar in April and beyond, as well, and we look forward to seeing you!
