What do we do? We offer a range of service capabilities from simple mailbox hosting, allowing users to send and receive email and perform calendaring activities, to a fully managed, comprehensive, mail service with archiving, mailbox management and administration. We offer a standard service with additional features and capabilities that can be added in a modular fashion.
What do I get from the hosted mail
service? The standard level of service provides users with mail and calendaring functionality. A 1GB mailbox is provided as standard. Mail is virus scanned and you have the ability to access messages from either a browser, your desktop client, or a Windows Mobile device.
What if I need more than the
standard level of service? Optional additional components such as Blackberry connectivity, increased storage, archiving and user administration can be added to the standard service.
Do all my users need to receive the same level of service or can I specify different options for
different users? Different users can be provided with different levels of service, allowing a high degree of flexibility.
How can I be sure my data
is secure? To simplify security management and to enhance performance, we manage security across three layers: data (virus/ spam filtering in the cloud), data access (HTTPS- 128-bit encryption) and at a Data Centre level. We have robust information security management standards through our ISO 27001 compliance.
What is your uptime SLA for
Exchange as a Service? We provide a 99.95% uptime, based on our Service Level Agreement for Exchange as a Service.
storage? You will get a 1GB mailbox with Exchange as a Service. However we aggregate your storage over your entire user base. This flexibility enables some users to “overuse” and some to “under-utilise” their allocated storage. We will capacity manage your overall mailbox store and notify you at an 80% threshold. Additional storage can be apportioned through review and cost agreement. We will never stop the sending or receiving of email due to mailbox sizes.
What if I want a dedicated service?
Based on specific customer requirements we can build dedicated Exchange infrastructures. This can be presented as a per user cost, but will be subject to an agreed minimum contract duration and mailbox level. A dedicated infrastructure could be driven through compliance needs with industry, legislative restrictions.

Our hosted email service is part of a wider set of Software and Technology as a Service capabilities, which can be fully integrated to form a comprehensive and collaborative business productivity platform. Our Technology as a Service (TaaS) platform, for example, provides a complete infrastructure base to operate a full range of modern and productive business services.
How is the service paid for? All aspects of the service (apart from optional mail migration) are paid for on a per user per month basis. However, we can spread migration costs across monthly contract payments.
What is the term of the agreement and can I cancel users during the term?
The initial term will be identified on the service schedule, normally this is three years. Users can be added or removed from the service during this period and the price you pay is based on the number of active users in any one month.
