What do we do? We offer data-storage access on a per TB per month basis, delivered from a high-end, resilient Storage Area Network. Increasing in 1TB increments, we can rapidly deploy disk as required, to suit small to large scale needs.


Located within our Tier 3+ ISO 27001 Data Centre environment, we offer secure data access for disparate organisations.


Storage is managed and monitored from our Network Operations Centre (NOC), including capacity management and reporting.


Dedicated, managed, storage infrastructures for organisations requiring large quantities of disk capacity are also available.


What is Storage as a Service? Storage as a Service is a high-end, industry leading and resilient Storage Area Network within a multi-tenanted platform. It can be provisioned for no capital outlay and provided to our Data Centre customers on a per Terabyte per month utility model.


How are the costs kept so low? By offering customers a slice of our extensive investment in the shared technology infrastructure, we have been able to create a common storage platform, with capacity for high disk growth, this allows us to offer 1TB units at a very competitive price.


What makes Storage as a Service


a compelling proposition? There are no upfront implementation costs for customers. A long capital approval process, together with a lengthy search for appropriately qualified and experienced resources to build, test and manage the environment is avoided. We deliver a fixed monthly cost against the required level of storage, offering predictable budgeting for current and future requirements within a high availability SLA. Access is provided to an enterprise class SAN solution, which might otherwise be outside of budget.


Can my data be backed up? Yes, we have an associated back-up disk solution, adjacent to the primary data store, charged on a per gigabyte/TB per month basis.


What do I get for my monthly fee? A completely managed data storage solution, appropriate to your storage requirements, against a set availability SLA.


Is this a secure service? The storage environment is based on a multi-tenanted service, but data and network traffic are logically separated for each customer. Customer data is stored on separate LUNS and virtual disk with secure zoning. This service is located within our ISO 27001 security accredited Data Centre.


Is this service resilient? The Storage as a Service environment is contained within our Tier 3+ Data Centre, boasting a 99.95% service availability SLA and using technological advancements to deliver high availability and resilience. This includes dual power supplies, dual UPS’s, back-up power generators, resilient air conditioning units, secure access and 24/7 monitoring and proactive management.


What if I require a dedicated


solution? For highly secure and large scale data requirements we can design, build and operate individual solutions for our customers. These services also operate on a per TB per month basis. We work with each customer to scope and design specific solutions for their individual operational needs and requirements.


Is this solution for large scale requirements?


This service is for all customers with storage options from 1TB upwards. Whether it is providing supplementary storage to an environment that has reached capacity, or for organisations that want to take advantage of higher capacity and more resilient storage.


Additionally it enables organisations of all sizes to dispense with expensive internal resource and management costs, including ongoing training costs for the associated infrastructure and future upgrades.
