But all previous anchors have had a number of weaknesses such as being too complex to assemble; need expensive assembly equipment or cannot be used within certain materials.


T he ubolt® -FUA undercut anchor however is uniquely shortest embedments the ubolt®


simple to install; it does not need a torque wrench or any fancy installation tool. In fact the simple setting method itself guarantees the proper setting. Even in the -FUA undercut anchor achieves


the highest guaranteed load performance, meaning that for most applications the ubolt®


-FUA undercut anchor will fulfil all


regulatory functional demands. If the structural substrate is covered by either a soft decorative


material (like stucco used around a window sill) or a wall insulation material, then standard anchor installation methods will fail. For these types of critical installation a second setting method may be used with ubolt®


-FUAs. The basic objective of this type of installation is to set the ubolt®


behind the soft material, without increasing the drill diameter and without using any complicated tools. The main difference between the ubolt®


-FUA standard


installation method and the method used for these deeper installations is that before installation the specific drilling depth for the ubolt®


-FUA anchor has to be calculated. The drilling into the solid substrate means that the ubolt®


depth calculation is simply the sum of the anchor body length (sleeve) plus the thickness of the soft surface material. After drilling to the calculated depth, the anchor and wedge are pushed to the bottom of the hole and the anchor installation is completed by hammering the wedge into place. Tecfi achieves ETA accreditation


DXE steel expansion anchors with conical nut, from Tecfi S.p.A, recently achieved the ETA-CE Approval according to Guideline ETAG001 - Part1, with option 7 to be used in non-cracked concrete.


The ETA 10/0453 certification covers the whole pre-positioned anchorage DXE range: • DXE00 with conical nut and sleeve. • DXE01 with hex head 8.8 grade. • DXE03 with stud 8.8 grade. • DXE04 with mushroom head 8.8 grade, 6-lobe recess.
