NORTH PARK FESTIVAL OF ARTS SUBMISSIONS Applications are now being
accepted for juried artists at the North Park Festival of Arts on May 15. The 15th annual festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will fea- ture dance, music, hands-on art activities, food, craft beer tastings, arts and craft vendors and fine arts exhibitors. There will a juried artists area

ego Opera will be featuring world renowned opera singer Renée Fleming in a special benefit concert on March 24 at 7 p.m. at the San Di- ego Civic Theatre, 1100 Third Ave. The concert will feature the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and
State University (SDSU) Aztecs, a sign reading “Brigham Down Az- tecs” was proudly displayed in the 10th floor window of city hall in Councilmember and SDSU alum Kevin Faulconer’s office. The sign was chosen via Facebook and Twit- ter suggestions, and was hung for the Brigham Young game on Feb. 26 at the Viejas Arena, where they unfortunately lost, 80 to 67. The Aztecs are currently ranked
numbernine in the ESPN/USA To- day Coaches Poll, firmly holding the spot from last week despite their loss. They’re following behind Ohio State at number three, Kansas at number two and Duke in the top spot. Their next game is set for Mar. 5 against Colorado State at the Viejas Arena at 7 p.m.
