QUEST SOFTWARE TO CREATE 150 JOBS IN CORK
US company Quest Software will cre- ate 150 new jobs in Cork. The software company will create these jobs over the next three years in the areas of finance, software development and renewal and inside sales. Staff will be recruited for an interna-
tional shared services centre in Cork, which Quest plans to use to manage its worldwide growth. The centre will be lo- cated in the Citygate complex at Mahon in Cork. Quest Software was established in

1987 and has 100,000 customers world- wide for its IT solutions. It operates more than 60 offices in 23 countries, including a sales office in Dublin, and employs 3,400 workers.
CLEARSTREAM TECHNOLOGIES TO CREATE 70 NEW JOBS
Medical devices firm ClearStream Technologies will create 70 new jobs in Wexford over the next three years. As part of a major expansion plan,
the Irish-owned company will create the new jobs in Enniscorthy. The posi- tions will be in product engineering, research and development, manufac- turing, and sales and marketing. ClearStream Technologies already employs 230 workers and designs and manufactures medical devices, such as catheters and stents.
POPCAP GAMES TO INCREASE IRISH WORKFORCE
Creators of the popular ‘Plants vs Zom- bies’ computer game, PopCap Games, has said it will double its workforce in Ireland to 110 over the next three years. The company’s European headquar-
ters was set up in Dublin six years ago and in 2009 it was the recipient of an IDA research and development grant. The Dublin office enjoyed increased
profits in 2010. The Seattle-based par- ent company said it was considering an initial public offering (IPO).

100 JOBS FOR GALWAY AS IP GIANT GENBAND INVESTS €8M
Leading developer of internet protocol (IP) infrastructure and service solu- tions GENBAND plans to establish its international headquarters and busi- ness services centre in Galway, which represents an €8m investment and more than 100 new jobs. GENBAND offers market-leading switching, networking and service solutions, with products deployed in more than 600 customer networks spanning more than 80 countries. GENBAND’s decision is supported by the Irish Government with the aid of IDA Ireland. The Galway facility will create new employment positions in finance, supply chain management, customer support, software development, HR, legal and administrative activities.
