So why is this project on El Cajon Boulevard—with a permit that was issued more than six years ago using erroneous information—being allowed to move forward? Good question. Councilmember Todd Gloria seems to have no interest in doing an additional review of the
site’s structures or proposing anything that could delay the project. In a letter written to Gloria, which outlined these concerns and the historical significance of the structures, Gloria simply replied: “The project is entitled.”•
