DAY 9  After an early morning tour of the Temples of Kalabshah, you’ll disembark the ms Omar El Khayam.  En route to your hotel in the pleasant old city of Aswan, you’ll visit the High Dam and the Papyrus Institute to learn how ancient Egyptians used this versatile plant. In the afternoon, embark a felucca, a traditional Nile sailboat, for a cruise past the Aga Khan Mausoleum to Kitchener’s Island, where you’ll stroll the Botanical Gardens. DAY 10   Today you’ll walk back in time with a visit to a Nubian village and a stop at a local school to observe the students. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a panoramic tour of Aswan, a laid-back Nile-side town with a distinct African atmosphere. Te rest of your day is at leisure. DAY 11  This morning, we’ll tour Philae Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. Midday, you’ll transfer to the deluxe ms Crown Jewel.  After lunch on board, attend a lecture about “Egypt Today.” Then, spend a final night in Aswan aboard the ship. ms Crown Jewel (B,L,D)


DAY 12  Sail early down the Nile to Kom Ombo for a guided tour of Sobek Temple, dedicated to the Crocodile God. Next, you’ll cruise to Edfu to visit Horus Temple, dedicated to the Falcon God. Tis temple is the second-largest and best-preserved temple in Egypt. Tis afternoon we cruise to Luxor, a stunning riverside city that is home to one the world’s largest collections of ancient statues, monuments, and relics. ms Crown Jewel (B,L,D)


DAY 13  For early risers, you may choose an optional morning hot air balloon ride. After breakfast, begin with a


guided outing to the West Bank, the tombs of the “Valley of the Kings,” and the Colossus of Memnon. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a guided tour to Karnak and the Luxor Temples, which took more than 1,500 years to build. ms Crown Jewel (B,L,D)


DAY 14  Disembark the ship and fly to Cairo for your last night in Egypt. If you like, join an optional tour to Old Cairo. Tonight, toast your journey’s end at a Farewell Dinner at the hotel. Radisson Blu Hotel Cairo (B,D)
