DAYS 13-15  Before heading to London, join an optional tour to see the grandeur of Blenheim Palace. You’ll learn about its many American links, from the Vanderbilts to Churchill. Later, settle in to your 5-Star hotel in the center of London. Take a city tour with expert local guides, who will give an “in- sider’s” view to London’s highlights, including Westmin- ster Abbey. Also, enjoy a comfortable ride on the London Eye, from which you’ll look down on famous landmarks on high. For the perfect way to wind down your final full day in

DAYS 6-8  After breakfast, check out of the hotel and bid farewell to Ed- inburgh. A full day of travel takes us south, past cotton-grass and Moorland Boulder to England and right into the heart of the Lake District, a national park whose natural beauty has been celebrated in poetry, prose and paint from Wordsworth to Beatrix Potter. You'll spend three nights in this incredible setting! You'll take a tour of the lakes and small villages, and witness sheep roaming the countryside hills and grazing in open pastures. You'll see firsthand how sheep dogs work at a sheep herding demonstration.  Te morning of Day 7, you'll hear a

DAYS 9-12  After breakfast on Day 9, you’ll depart for the historic univer- sity city of Oxford, where you’ll stay for four nights. It is also our base from which to explore the Cotswolds, the heart of England’s “green and pleasant land.” On Day 10, you’ll a take day to explore the honey-colored college buildings, walking through the stately “Quads,” the courtyards of lodgings for both students and tutors featuring pristine lawns. During your tour, you’ll learn about the history of the University and its many famous students. Te next day, you’ll wind through the idyllic villages of the Cotswolds and, in Stratford, you’ll discover the legacy of Shakespeare. On Day 12, take a tour of Bath, where natural hot springs still bubble through Roman foundations beneath elegant 18th-century buildings.
