Senior Maccabi Sports Camp Campers entering grades 6 - 8 Marilyn Fox Building 9am – 3pm, June 6 – August 5


Formerly known as “Athletes in Action”, this fun and intense sports camp features great competition, skill building, professional and technical instruction and swimming. Join your friends, neighbors and classmates in a summer of fun that will create great memories for the rest of your life. Our newest feature is “Race for the Cup,” an ongoing competition that is sure to facilitate some of the greatest sports moments in J Day Camp history! Recreational swim is offered for all campers as well as teen field trips throughout the summer.


Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) Campers entering grade 9 Staenberg Family Complex 9am – 3pm, June 6 – August 5


Leaders in Training prepares campers for high school by holding programs focusing on team building, leadership development, sports, arts and crafts, and counselor training. L.I.T.’s meet separately for part of the week and spend the rest of the time with Ben Akiba Teen Mitzvah Camp.


Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) Campers entering grade 10 Both locations 9am – 3pm, June 1 – August 5


Learn to be a counselor in our C.I.T. program. Participants will be trained to become counselors during our pre-camp orientation and will be placed in a variety of different groups and camps throughout the summer. C.I.T.’s are required to fill out a staff application and go through the interview process.


Teen Skills


16 – 20 year olds with developmental disabilities Staenberg Family Complex 9am – 3pm, June 6 – August 5


Campers work on acquiring essential social and vocational skills as they make their transition into adulthood. Participants will spend the majority of the week in the community engaging in a variety of interesting volunteer and recreational activities with organizations like the St. Louis Artists’ Guild, Habitat for Humanity, The Botanical Gardens, Worth Industries, and more.
