Men’s Basketball Record: 13-0 (1-0 ACC)


l The top-ranked Blue Devils improved to 13-0 on the season with wins over North Carolina-Greensboro and Miami. The win over UNC-Greensboro moved head coach Mike Krzyzewski into second place on the men’s all-time wins list, claiming win number 880. He now trails only Bobby Knight, who has 902 career wins. l Senior Kyle Singler scored 27 points and senior Nolan Smith had 22 of his season-high 26 points in the first half for the Blue Devils as they dismantled the winless Spartans, 108-62, last Wednesday. l Seth Curry chipped in with 15 points, Miles Plumlee and Andre Dawkins added 11 apiece and Ryan Kelly scored 10 for the Blue Devils, who hadn’t played since Dec. 20, shrugged off an eight-day break, shot a season-best 60.9 percent, scored 42 points off 23 turnovers and hit the 100-point mark for the second time this season.

l It was the sixth time Duke has made 10 or more three-point field goals in a game this season. l The Blue Devils opened the ACC season Sunday night from Cameron Indoor Stadium with a 74-63 win over Miami. l Smith scored a season-high 28 points and Dawkins chipped in with 16 points off the bench for the Blue Devils. l Singler, who finished with 14 points, played all 40 minutes to give him 12 career games with 40 or more minutes played. He became the 13th player in school history to log over 4,000 career minutes and has now played a total of 4,022. l Sophomore Mason Plumlee grabbed 10 rebounds to give him five games this season with 10 or more. l Smith was named the ACC Player of the Week on Monday. In the two games, Smith averaged 27.0 points, 7.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 63.0 percent (17-of-27) from the field and 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from three-point range. l Duke will host UAB at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

l The men’s and women’s tennis teams travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Hills Family Winter Trip on Saturday, Jan. 8.


Swimming & Diving Men’s Record: 2-1 (1-1 ACC) Women’s Record: 1-3 (0-2 ACC)


l Duke diving will host North Carolina State and UNC Wilmington on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 10:00 a.m., at the Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion. l The Duke divers are fresh off the season’s winter break. The Blue Devils closed out the fall season in the Nike Cup, Nov. 18-20, claiming second on the women’s side and fourth on the men’s.
