Top tips for BETT 2011
With so much to see at BETT, it is recommended that you pre-plan your visit. You can do this using the My BETT route planner tool online. Post-planning is just as important as pre- planning. Pick up lots of leaflets, and once you are back to your desk ensure you take the time to reflect on what you saw at the show. This also provides an opportunity to really consider the companies that you met with, who you can always invite back for further discussion. Here are some other tips: • Make the most of the Information Points – they are there to help you get the best out of BETT.
• Register for the show in advance of your visit on the BETT website. It is free, easy and gives you fast-track entry.
• Reserve your seat for your chosen seminars in advance of the show using the BETT website. This comes at a price of £15 (plus VAT), but guarantees you entry.
• If it is new suppliers and products that you are interested in, make sure you check out New@BETT, a free publication distributed to all pre-registered visitors in advance of the show.
• Take advantage of the show as a networking opportunity to share ideas and source advice from peers. Make the most of the Leaders Lounge and International Lounge, where respective visitors can relax and network.
• BETT provides an ideal opportunity for visitors to touch and test a range of products and services under one roof so make sure you ask to see product demonstrations or have a go yourself.

sessions are held here with exhibitors highlighting how their products can be used to maximum effect. This zone enables visitors to see first-hand the potential that the solutions offer. Making a return to the show is the Software Zone. Here, visitors
can find the latest software innovations on the market. The SEN Zone is where
visitors can meet with a comprehensive gathering of educational ICT providers, showcasing the latest and most innovative specialist SEN resources (see page 19). BETT 2011 has a number
of information points where visitors can come for independent advice or to find the answer to any of their queries. The SEN Information Point hosted by nasen (stand SN15), the UK association encompassing all special and additional educational needs, is the place to visit for any SEN- related queries. The British Education
Suppliers Association Information Point (stand D46) is located at the heart of the show with staff on hand to offer visitors advice about who to see and to help them maximise their visit to BETT. Alternatively, if it is
independent advice on the latest software and digital content that you are after, the TEEM Information Point located next to the Software Zone can help. Seminars are an increasingly
popular aspect of BETT as they provide a chance for visitors to expand their training with CPD- certified sessions.
