LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Gimme some more
I’ve been enjoying your camping news coverage this year. One thing I can’t stop wondering about is the fate of the s’more. I was rivetted last year to read about the s’mores’ (two apostrophes in one word is too many) 79th anniversary (Family Camping V5, I1). I’ve been looking forward to the comprehensive coverage I thought you would surely be devoting to it this year for its 80th year milestone. But nothing! Not a word s’more. What can explain this lapse? Have you lost your news sense, or is the s’more n’more? Christine Aikens Whitehorse, YK We are happy to announce the s’more is still
a campfire standby. In fact we just ate a batch of s’mores ourselves. They were delicious, but they left our fingers a littlle sticckckky.—Eds.
