KEY FINDINGS
• Average annual base salary in USD is $95,554 (versus $78,089 in 2009), predominantly driven by more senior respondents to the survey versus last year.
• Those with a RICS qualification earn 66% more than those who are “not professionally qualified”.
• 48.1% of respondents received a base salary increase (versus 26.2%*), with the average salary increase for those respondents being 10.4% (versus 12.6%*).
• 65.6% of the survey respondents received a bonus (versus 53.4%*) and the average bonus per year was USD$28,791 (versus $24,421*).
• Only 7% of respondents have been made redundant in the last 12 months (down from 15%*). • 85% of those made redundant have already found new jobs (up from 71%*). • 80% were paid a redundancy settlement equal to or more than the contractual amount (up from 77%*). • Health insurance 67%, mobile phones 51% and performance related bonuses 35% continue to be the most popular additional benefits provided in the industry.
• The majority of survey participants (77%, up 2%*) are fairly or very satisfied with their current employment.
• 56% of respondents believe that the property market will get better over the next 12 months (versus 62%*), while 39% believe it will remain unchanged (versus 32%*). *In comparison to 2009
