YOU NEVER KNOW where you are with Daft Punk. Famously shy, they haven’t toured for the last couple of years, preferring instead to delve into lucrative soundtrack work on the remake of ‘Tron’.


Then we saw this footage – don’t watch if you suffer from epilepsy, by the way – of them making a two minute lappearance supporting fellow Frenchies Phoenix during their encore at Madison Square Gardens on Wednesday last week, performing an amalgamation of


‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’, which the two acts wrote together, plus Daft Punk’s ‘Around the World’ and Phoenix’s ‘1901’.


As well as loving the dourness of whoever left the comment, “I went to a Phoenix concert once, this shit did not happen,” we’re just glad to see them out, about and messing with everybody’s expectations again.
