With great holsters by TUFF Products, Mernickle and Hidden Hol- sters, there is no shortage of ways to hide your pocket piece.
at the SHOT show in January, I de- cided it was time to buy another one, thinking I must need a new one af- ter 17 years. But after comparing the two I realized mine was still almost as good as new. That is true quality and durability. I guess I’ll give the new one to a friend and try again in 10 or 20 years! Many of the tactical clothing
manufacturers are making garments with pockets designed to hold guns and accessories. Check out the stuff made by 5.11 Tactical, EOTAC and Woolrich. The Woolrich Elite Tac- tical Series Fleece Jacket and Vest
are designed with elastic loops in the pockets, which will hold your small handgun, spare ammo and flashlight.
Other Important Stuff Too often people who carry guns

The Streamlight Strion is an excel- lent choice for a bright rechargeable light. If you don’t mind buying good batteries, you can’t go wrong with any of the small Surefire lights such as the T1A Titan, E1B Back Up, L1 LumaMax or LX2 LumaMax. You are probably already carry-

ing a knife. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who carries a gun who doesn’t carry a knife! Ask yourself what you carry a knife for? These are one of the oldest and most versatile tools. If you are carrying a knife for self-defense then make sure you get some training on how to use it and make sure you only use it for that purpose. Carry a second one for your utility purposes like opening boxes, cutting rope, etc. Don’t over- look some of the good utility tools out there such as the Houdini se- ries by Benchmade.
