Logis is owned and run by Julian Ince an Englishman born and raised not far from Newmarket, but who has lived in this part of France so long his command of his native language is, to be frank, getting a bit scratchy! Julian learned his skills primarily at Coolmore before the lure of the

thoroughbred brought him to this delicious part of France. He has been responsible for standing the majority of Darley’s French roster over the last decade, and has also won a deserved reputation as an astute purchaser of stock of all ages, from quality broodmares to a 2010 Classic winner, both for himself and on behalf of clients. The auction ring is his second home, and the Logis consignment at the Deauville sales is always a must-see. Logis is managed by a home-bred: Anthony Picot’s father was head stallion man here for some 24 years. Anthony attended equine college before starting at Logis, where he’s worked his way up through the ranks. He leads a talented team that is prized for its attention to detail: take a close look at our yearling consignment if you don’t believe us. Meanwhile, the office is run with charm and efficiency by Celine Chanu, as it has been for more than ten years. On some studs, they would be the unsung heroes. We prefer to sing their praises.
