Playing a virtual road game in the backyard of Duke’s most athletic NCAA Tournament opponent, the Blue Devils delivered a gutsy Elite Eight performance vs. Baylor. Trailing by one after a Bears bucket with 3:51 left, Duke pushed back with a 12-1 run powered by rebounding and three- point shooting. Nolan Smith scorched the nets for a career-high 29 points in the game, while Jon Scheyer added 20 and four assists. The victory sent the Blue Devils to the Final Four for the 11th time under Coach K and 15th time overall.
