• September 27—Dine Out in Support of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic® (RFB&D) New England Audubon Circle Restaurant & Bar, 838 Beacon Street, Boston 6 to 10 p.m. Dine out with friends and fam- ily to help support the nation’s largest resource for accessible educational materials. • October 15—Food For Free— Party Under the Harvest Moon Morss Hall, Walker Memorial Building, MIT, 142 Memorial Drive, 6 to 10 p.m. Fundraiser for Food For Free’s Produce Rescue program, fea-turing hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, beer and wine, a silent auction, and live music. $50 in advance, $35 students at www.foodforfree.org. $60 day of.


• October 16—Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund Home Sweet Home Dessert Tasting Hyatt Regency Cambridge 7 to 11 p.m. Dessert tasting competition with top area chefs, dancing to the Love Dogs and more to help fight homelessness. $50 President’s Pass, $75 VIP PassPort at www.chafund.org.
