Our navigation courses are suitable for anyone who goes to sea, and range from the two-day Essential Navigation and Seamanship course to the 40 hour Yachtmaster® Ocean course. They are equally relevant for sailors and motor boaters and can be tailored to your experience and aspirations, whilst following the standard syllabus. Courses are off ered in a range of formats such as a series of evenings, weekends or an intensive period. You can also take them through a number of distance learning centres, enabling you to learn at your own pace and at times to suit you. Our specialist short courses are typically


run over a single day, but may also be available over a series of shorter sessions, depending on the training centre. If you have a group of people wanting the same course, you could arrange for an instructor to come to you and run the course with dates and venues to suit. Contact your local training centre to explore the possibilities.


Look for the tickmark All the centres listed in this brochure are recognised by the RYA, and so can off er our courses, use our training materials and put our tickmark logo in their publicity. If you are researching centres elsewhere, always look for the tickmark. If in doubt, call us to check if a centre is recognised.
