InChI Trust releases new version of software
The InChI Trust and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) have released a new version of the IUPAC International Chemical Identifier (InChI) open-source software.
The InChI algorithm turns chemical structures into machine-readable strings of information. Among other
enhancements, version 1.03 integrates the generation of the standard InChI string and non- standard, customised strings. The new version also fixes a number of minor bugs such as clarifying how undefined/ unknown stereochemistry is handled, and some structure perception and stereo interpretation option issues.

Business journal joins CUP platform
Harvard Business School and Cambridge University Press have formed a partnership to publish Harvard Business School’s journal Business History Review from 2011. With the move to Cambridge University Press, Business
History Review will be hosted on Cambridge Journals Online. The journal will benefit from the availability of an online subscription for the first time and the complete archive in one place.

Springer to distribute e-books from Sense
Springer will distribute the book programme of Sense Publishers as part of its e-book collection from 2011. Sense has an annual output of around 100 titles in education
and educational research, including titles that focus on the student market. Sense will still sell print copies of its publications.

New functionality helps users evaluate value of package deals
Swets has added functionality to its evaluation and analysis tool, SwetsWise Selection Support, to enable libraries to assess the value of package deals. This feature is said to enable customers to evaluate titles at deal or package level as well as on individual title level. It allows customers to group titles together and gather reports on
usage, cost and the price-per-use of an entire package, simply and effectively. SwetsWise Selection Support
combines usage statistics and subscription information into a single environment. This should enable customers to balance cost, usage and relevance of a title or package deal against another.

SAGE collection on Credo expands
The SAGE Reference Collection on Credo is growing from 68 titles to 125. All SAGE Reference titles published between 2000 and 2010, as well as all titles to
be published in 2011, will be available through the Credo Reference platform, which is available as a whole or within various subject collections.
