Mizuno promises exciting new designs for optimum performance and comfort with the launch of a new footwear range
M
izuno has launched a flagship collection of running and walking shoes for Autumn/Winter, promising innovative, new technology for enhanced performance and comfort. Available for retail delivery immediately, the range encompasses running, trail running and walking in junior and adult collections. The new line-up is spearheaded by the Wave Alchemy 10, intended for keen runners. For enhanced fit and support in the upper, this model features the company’s new Dynamotion Fit concept, with a view to producing ‘shoes that move the way you move’. Mizuno says this is an advanced evolution of the existing Dynamotion Fit system, and uses the latest motion capture and biomechanics technology to work with the foot throughout the gait cycle for optimum fit and performance. In both men’s and women’s styles, the shoe also incorporates Mizuno Wave technology, which the company says has been engineered to provide improved cushioning and stability.
The Wave Alchemy 10 is the result of gender engineering, following Mizuno’s biomechanical research into the differences between men’s and women’s gaits, with the models being fitted with gender-specific midsoles and outsoles that are designed to help improve ride, performance and comfort. The midsoles also contain lightweight but durable Acceleration Polymer. Smooth Ride technology aims to minimise rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, while flex grooves on the sole have been minimised in the forefoot, utilising a shock absorbing cushioning compound, VS-1.
