This week’s vocabulary: “Ardilla” – Squirrel “Abeja” – Bee

“Araña” – Spider “Árbol” – Tree

Traced the numbers 2010 and then decorated the paper using beans,

marshmallows and glue.  Started with “Buenos

días”, “Vamos a ver” and “Como te Llamas Tú?” Shared stories from Christmas Break and

talked about our favorite present.



“Como te Llamas Tύ?” and talked to our puppets. We began talking about the

New Year, 2010. And the number zero.

de las cosas no es como la otra”, practicing colors.

Traced “Feliz Año!” and their first and last names.

Also played with clay. 

Began talking about letter “A” and words/names that begin with “A”. We also discussed “A”ndy Warhol and his artwork.

The children painted a shoe, by looking at one and then

painting what they saw. They

also traced the hair of an Andy Warhol drawing and then colored the picture, so we

could make our very own Andy Warhol picture!

Triscuits, hummus and carrots. Triscuits, cheese and grapes.

Dancing and follow the leader. Free time (drawing, coloring, etc.)



The children decorated their very own shoes using sequins, crepe paper and feathers.

Dear parents and caregivers of the Spanish Preschool class, We had a great week back at the Spanish Preschool! The first couple of days we discussed our Holiday break, what presents we received, and the places we visited.

We are so excited to be back to school and are ready to have a great second semester! Hope everyone enjoyed their Holidays!
