SERVICES REPORT


Ana Liffey delivers a range of services, both onsite and offsite, to people who experience problem


substance use. Sometimes we do this ourselves; sometimes we do it in


conjunction with partner agencies. However,


regardless of the mode or


location of the services we deliver, we constantly


strive to ensure that they are inclusive and


accessible to people who want to use them.


it is this non-judgmental ethos which allows us to do what we do. a full list of the services we provide is available here. 2008 & 2009 were busy years in terms of service delivery. We will give a sense of the development of the services we offer by focusing on a couple of key events in service delivery in each year.


2008 in July 2008 we received funding to increase our staffing. the new staffing levels were an important boost to the project’s work; it allowed us to provide a consistent street-based assertive outreach service to support and enhance the work we were already doing in the drop-in. it also allowed us to be flexible to responding to the needs of people who use our services. as it developed, having a scheduled assertive outreach service permitted us to provide more focussed support off-site; not only could we provide street-based interventions, but we could more easily free up staff to take time to support our clients, either to meet, in the community, or to visit in hospitals and prisons. this has proven to be extremely valuable; a key aspect of ana Liffey’s work is the ability to connect with people and work with them in a
