15 Years of DJ Mag Ibiza at Space

Booka Shade and Derrick Carter head our huge 1st July line-up

WITH the Ibiza season almost upon us DJMagazine are proud to announce that we’re throwing an extra special party at the mighty Space on 1st July. The party celebrates 15 years of DJMagazine in Ibiza - where each season we publish two editions of our exclusive Ibiza mag, which clubbers can pick up for free in the very best bars, clubs and restaurants - and the line-up refl ects some of our favourite artists, old and new. Heating things up in Discoteca are German duo Booka Shade with a DJ set promising to be as skilfully eclectic as their latest ‘More!’ album. They’re backed by Spooky, whose ‘Gargantuan’ album ranks alongside Leftfi eld’s ‘Leftism’ as one of the formative albums of the then nascent progressive house scene. In La Terraza we welcome long-time favourite Derrick Carter plus Metro Area, Tensnake and more.

SCHOLARSHIP OF SOUND

AKG, the manufacturer of high performance studio, broadcast and live sound equipment, are offering a brand new AKG Scholarship of Sound to ten top electronic music producers and (pardon the pun) sound students from across Europe. The chosen ten will visit the Berlin AKG Studio from 31st July - 7th August with the scholarship including return fl ights to Berlin, accommodation for seven days, AKG sound expert learning sessions, tutoring sessions with acclaimed audio engineers, mentoring sessions with successful DJs and producers, and workshops hosted in partnership with music technology companies.
