“MEYER SOUND PRODUCTS

DO NOT DISTORT THE AUDIO SIGNALS,

AND THIS CHARACTERISTIC IS CRUCIAL FOR HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO MIXING FOR FILMS.”

— CARLOS CORTES

MANAGER

LABOFILMS

Alagón and Acoustic Worksolutions Group. “Mexico has successfully dem- onstrated that we have the directing and acting talent to make high-quality cin- ema productions, and with LaboDigital, we have the resources to support these efforts.”

Three Meyer Sound CQ-1 loudspeakers are installed in a left-center-right configu- ration. Two X-800 subwoofers provide undistorted bass power, and a surround

system of ten UPJ-1P VariO loudspeakers completes the system.

According to Cortes, the linearity of Meyer Sound loudspeakers makes the system ideal for audio post-production in cinema applications. “Meyer Sound products do not distort the audio signals, and this characteristic is crucial for high-quality au- dio mixing for films,” says Cortes.

Cortes adds that Meyer Sound’s commit- ment to customer support was essential in LaboFilms’ certification process with Dolby and THX. “It was Roberto Ve- lazco’s recommendation for us to con- sider Meyer Sound,” says Cortes. “And then the Meyer factory took the initiative to conduct the correct tests, while the staff at Meyer Sound Mexico stood by us throughout the whole process.”
