Dear Reader,
We’re extremely proud to share so many exciting projects with you in this issue of Sound Stories—Miles Davis in Paris, the Eastman Kodak Hall, and the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, to name just a few. But a story that really stands out for us is about the 18-year-old UPAs at the Waikiki Shell.
We know that talking about old loudspeakers isn’t very glamorous, but in fact, they say a lot about Meyer Sound— our products and our values as a company. For over 31 years, we’ve been steadfast in our resolve to foster close, long-term relationships with our customers, and to build loudspeakers that not only sound fantastic but are built to last. We couldn’t think of a better testament to this than the fact that after 18 years of exposure to hard conditions— wind, rain, sun, hurricanes, tsunamis—our loudspeakers are still in use—with minor tune-ups—at the Waikiki shell.
As we strive to bring you the most advanced audio technology possible, we look forward to being a part of your success now and for many years to come.
