at the end of October last year. “The quality of everyone at that stage was very high but only Capita met all of our specific requirements as a corporate house,” says Wayne. “It wasn’t just a money consideration – there was a lot more to it from our point of view.”
The real work begins Of course, winning the
contract is only part of the story – now Capita had to implement their system in time to meet the 1 January deadline. With just two months – and the Christmas period to negotiate as well – Capita IR Services were faced with a major task to deliver everything on time.
The team got to work immediately. “We needed to get history on the system for every one of Panmure’s 70-odd clients and we also needed to build an internet portal to deliver all the information through Panmure’s website,” explains Liz. “It was a tough few weeks but we got it all working just in time for the 1 January deadline.”
Wayne adds: “I knew it would be difficult but, because of my previous dealings with Capita, I was confident they would be able to deliver. You really have to give credit to the people behind the scenes getting everything up and ready to run. For anyone who actually understands the job, that was a mammoth task. From Panmure’s point of view, we were absolutely delighted with the end result which was ready to go on the first business day of the year.”
