Crowley selects Bollinger for
next-generation tug build
Crowley has announced a contract with Bollinger Shipyards for the
construction of two new design ocean-going tugs, with options for additional
vessels. These vessels represent the beginning of a newbuild programme at
Crowley to enhance ocean towing, salvage and offshore support capabilities.

hese 10,880hp tugs are to be
designated the ‘Ocean’ class, with
the first two vessels confirmed
as being named Ocean Wave and Ocean
Wind. Crowley’s subsidiary Jensen
Maritime Consultants assisted Crowley
