Duringthe2008-09season,BrownledtheSaintstoa7-5record
includinga3-2markinMAACmeetsduringtheprogram’s
milestone10thseason.Brownguidedhisteamtoasixth-place
finishforasecondstraightyearattheMAACChampionships, Inthefallof2002,Brownalsotookoverastheheadswimming
includinganimpressive10th-placemarkattheECACChampion- coachattheGreaterBurlingtonYMCA.Heoversawateam
ships.Moreover,theSaintscontinuedtobreakmultipleschool thatconsistedofupwardsof75swimmersduringthefall/win-
andpoolrecordsandhisstudent-athletescontinuedtheir terseason.Hequalifiedarecord10swimmersforthe2005
successesintheclassroom,witheightofthemearningMAAC YMCALongCourseChampionship.Atthemeet,sixofthose
All-AcademicTeamhonors. werenamedYMCAAll-Americans.
UnderBrown’sguidance,theSaintscompletedoneofthemost BrownalsohelpedswimmersfromGreaterBurlingtonqualify
decoratedseasonsinprogramhistoryduringthe2007-08 fortheYMCANationalMeetinthespringandsummerof2003,
campaign.Sienaposteda9-4overallmeetrecordandwon 2004,2005and2006.Additionally,Brownservedasthehead
fiveofitssixMAACmeets.Inaddition,BrownledtheSaintsto swimcoachforbothBurlingtonCountryClub(2003-2004)and
asixth-placefinishattheMAACChampionships,theprogram’s QuarryHillClub(2005-2006)intheirsummerrecreationprograms
highestfinishsincethe2004championshipmeet. whichcompetedintheChamplainValleyStreamLeague.Brown’s
2006QuarryHillTeamwontheVermontStateChampionship.
Inaddition,BrownmentoredfreshmanBrittanyPavolko,who
asafreshman,wasnamedMAACSwimmeroftheWeektwice AsanundergraduatehistorymajoratLycoming,Brownwasa
duringtheyear,doublingtheprogram’sall-timetotal.Sixschool four-yearlettermaninswimming.Hewastheteamcaptainin
andthreepoolrecordsalsofellbythewaysidein2007-08.The 2002andtheCoachesAward/TeamMVPin2001.Hewasa
sixschoolrecordswerethemostaccomplishedbytheSaints five-timeMiddleAtlanticsilvermedalistandtwo-timebronze
inasingleseason.Additionally,fiveSaintsplacedonthe medalist.
