Health & Hygiene
When Less Is Most Definitely More
M
etsä Tissue has found a way of dramatically cutting washroom
waste whilst retaining high levels of hygiene, especially in areas,
which traditionally make exceptional demands on paper consumables.
The Katrinâ narrow range of hand towels, including the innovative
Easy Flush range, provides the solution - reducing space requirements,
lowering waste, saving money and improving green credentials
simultaneously.
Environments that typically make exceptional demands on paper
consumables include:
Schools, which often present a dilemma for purchasers of tissue
products. Children’s hands do not require full sized adult paper towels;
pupils frequently use more towels than they need and often dispose of
them in toilets, rather than through proper waste channels.
Planes, trains, coaches and ferries which also present unique issues,
in terms of space for storage of supplies, for mounting dispensers and
for management of waste.
Old buildings, including many of historic significance often
experience similar space issues, but also have Victorian narrow gauge
drains, meaning blockages can be a major problem for the
organisations in such buildings. These blockages can be expensive, time
consuming and extremely detrimental to an organisation’s image.
The Katrin narrow towels can help to solve all these problems. They
are available with a free Katrin dispenser insert that will perfectly fit
all Katrin dispensers and most other branded, standard sized or own
label dispensers.
The combination of the Katrin insert and narrow towel is ideal for
minimising space and for ensuring that washroom users use less paper
– producing cost in use savings. In addition, the narrow towels from
the Katrin Easy Flush range deliver paper that breaks up easily, avoids
blocking old drainage systems, or indeed normal toilet systems when
hand towels are “accidentally” flushed away.
Katrin narrow towels are available in a range of folds, softness and
absorptions. They come in white or blue and all have the same
environmentally friendly ethos that you expect from Katrin products.
With the Katrin narrow towels, there is no quality compromise – just
a reduction in size, lower cost in use and a favourable impact on the
environment.
Many schools, travel organisations and FM companies managing
old buildings are already taking advantage of the Katrin narrow
hand towels. With so many benefits they all say Katrin means less
really is more.
