5. BLAH BLAH BLAH
JANUAR

Y SALE
Digital, Kings Rd Arches, Brighton, BN1
Saturday 10th Jan
Partied out, painfully skint, freezing cold and staring out
the offi ce at a doom-dark sky before it’s even hit 4.30pm…
January sucks, right? Well, it’s not our nominee for month
of the year but little bonuses like this certainly soften the
multiple blows. In a sentence, global bass badman (and
newly recruited DJmag reviewer) Sinden rocks one of the
best clubs on the coast for a measly, paltry, no-excuses-for-
excuses fi ver. We’ll see you down the front… if you can fi nd
the room.

Stinky’s Peephouse, Brick St, Leeds, LS9
Thursday 28th Jan
The people have spoken. After much deliberation, the Back To Basics’ home formally known as My
House, affectionately known as Stinky’s and originally known as Stinky’s Peephouse is getting its
birth name back. It’s not the only change either. There’s a new dancefl oor, a lick of paint and one
of the best club gardens in Leeds. Celebrate the rebirth at this school night relaunch as residents
from Back To Basics, Digital Society, Back2Mine, Rave On!, Twaddle and Spank’d play house,
techno and trance. Book Friday off now... it’s getting messy.

Saturday 16th Jan
Tronicsole’s Hiro hops over from Glasgow tonight. Recording a number of EPs for Tronicsole, the
Japanese-obsessed Hiro has also remixed Milton Jackson, Sei A and Ski Oakenfull, and has a slew of
sick sounds lined up for release in 2010. One to watch, you can catch him working through forward-

10. REACH 3RD BIRTHDAY
Twisted Pepper, Middle Abbey St, Dublin, D1
Friday 22nd Jan
Dublin’s booming bass bastion notch up three years of
classic junglism, dubstep futurism and new school d&b
badness tonight. In the basement, original junglist Kenny
Ken and the drum & bass DJ’s DJ, Randall, will be
thundering out the best in drum & bass new and old. On
the other stage, Hyperdub’s Kode 9 smashes one in the
face of the genre police with one of his forward-thinking
DJ sets.
