Sure, hunting in the caves is nice, I
agree, but fishing for white groupers in
open waters can offer unique images and
experiences to the spearo. There are three
ways of approaching a fish moving outside
of its den. The first is to simply glide towards
the fish located by the diver who will stop
any movement and execute a shot. Having
in mind the special character of this fish, for
this approach to be successful the diver’s
technique must be perfect. Movements
must be stopped, his glance calm, and
the finger must always be ready to pull
the trigger as soon as the fish shows any
sign of distress. Even if the fish starts to
move, that doesn’t mean the game is over.
