NEVERLOST HOLIDAYMAKER’S BEST FRIEND
Have you ever found yourself lost and confused on an American
country road? Your map is crumpled and diffi cult to read; your cell
phone may not work; soon the sun will be setting, and you’ll be
driving in the dark.
This is when you need Hertz’s new NeverLost navigational system
– it keeps you on track with the minimum of effort while offering a
wide range of other services. It’s quite affordable and you can even
electronically pre-plan your whole itinerary, using their ‘Online
Trip Planning’ (OTP) feature from the comfort of your own offi ce
or home. Just load it into your USB fl ash drive, transfer it into your
NeverLost unit and away you go.
Using simple ergonomic controls, you will then be guided both
visually (on a high resolution screen) and, when relevant, verbally
to your various destinations. Extra features include advice on the
shortest or fastest routes to your next destination, reminders of
upcoming turnings and warnings of road works or traffi c congestion.
If you miss a turning, you are verbally advised – while the system
puts you back on course.
Do you need advice on hotels, restaurants or how to fi nd the local
branch of your favourite coffee shop? Then NeverLost is on the case.
Or, if you see a place you’d like to visit along the route, the system
