The story starts when
Hussein fi rst got into
VWs. “I sat in one and
that was it!” he says.
That was 20 years ago,
when he was 16 years
old. His fi rst Beetle was
a ’67, slammed and
running on Fuchs, but
the Cabriolet you see
here was a car he used
to see parked up by the
side of the road and
every time he drove
past it he used to
think ‘if it ever
comes up for
sale I’m
having it’.
