past year. Job searching is more challenging than ever, and as the Association of Graduate
Recruiters has confirmed what we all feared, there are fewer graduate positions available at
the moment*.
All is not lost, however. There are still some fabulous graduate positions out there – and in
this directory – so with a positive attitude and a whole load of preparation, there is nothing
to stop you getting your dream job.

employers, who are actively recruiting for the UK’s leading graduate positions. Use these
profiles to help you focus on your career aspirations, and take advantage of the careers
advice pages to put a strategy together that will put you ahead of the competition.
As well as the directory there are plenty of other resources to help you in your search for that

• The National Graduate Recruitment Exhibitions – take time out to visit the
exhibitions held every year in London, Birmingham and Manchester. Meet recruiters face-
to-face to find out more about the vacancies they offer, how to apply and what your
future could hold.
• www.gradjobs.co.uk – check this website regularly for up-to-the minute information
on job vacancies, top tips, application deadlines, recruiters’ details and
exhibition information. You can also register for fast-track entry to all of the National
Graduate Recruitment Exhibitions.
• GradMail – sign up to GradMail and receive regular e-newsletters keeping you up to
date with who’s recruiting, application deadlines and dates of upcoming exhibitions.
• GradJobs Magazine – pick up a copy from your careers office for the latest graduate
