Global Village
The Global Village of Craft, Culture and Cuisine is return-
ing to ¡Globalquerque! and promises to be a real highlight
of this year’s festival. Roughly 30 booths of international
crafts, culture and cuisine will be available. Copperman is
especially excited about the return of this festival aspect.
“I think the mix of vendors is particularly good this year,
and our food vendors are especially interesting. We’ve got
Ethiopian food, Brazilian caterers, Indian Ayurvedic cuisine
and espresso and gelato. Yum!” There will also be free day
programming on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
Global Village for families and adults, including workshops
on music and folklore, crafts and live performances.
¡Globalquerque! 2009 is sure to be a journey of discov-
ery for all who attend. “I hope my experience will be much
like other festival goers, who find that the big discovery of
the festival comes in unexpected places,” says Copperman.
